Hello, I’m Matt Webber—CEO of Webber Restaurants, LLC and owner-operator of Chick-fil-A restaurants in Upstate SC.

I was 15 when I got my first job at Chick-fil-A, cutting lemons to make our fresh-squeezed lemonade. At the time it was a part-time job as I was very involved in school and sports all year long.

As I continued to work through high school and throughout my entire college journey I began to focus on what my long term opportunities would be.  People would always ask me why I was still working at Chick-fil-A all those years.  As I completed high school/college I had learned to work hard, learned the importance of building relationships with those that I work with, continuously learning inside and outside of work, and ultimately identifying my true passions.

I discovered at an early age (lawn care company at age of 12) that I would love to own my own business one day.  The thought of making a guest happy with an excellent experience, taking great pride in doing a job well, and getting paid to do it was very rewarding for me personally.   As my love for the Chick-fil-A brand continued to grow throughout college it became very clear that the ability to own my own business, lead, and influence others was right before me.  At that point I decided to take the learnings and experiences I had accumulated since I was a teenager and join that with my passion of owning a business.

Fast forward and at the age of 25 I was selected to have my first restaurant in NC.  Four years later I would return home to SC and be selected to relocate to Simpsonville, SC.  Five years after coming back home to SC we were selected to have an additional restaurant in the neighboring Mauldin, SC community.  In 2022 we were honored to have the opportunity to open our third restaurant, which is located in Simpsonville.  Never did I imagine that God would choose someone like me to lead an organization of this size with the opportunity to impact so many lives.  It’s a clear reminder that I can’t do what I do unless I have a great team of people around me and that is my commitment.
